Winter 2009-2010

Well...what can I say about this winter. It started off with a whimper and limped its way into the new year. Where the weather wasn't the greatest, what made the season was the friends that we got to ride with. John Kingsley made many treks from Boston to Utah to ride the greatest snow on Earth. He even brought Julie out, which I am happy to say I was able to ride with. Tracy Degl...aka Degs also made it out here for some fun. I even strapped on some skis and spent the day with her and Eric at Deer Valley skiing. That's right...this knuckle dragger slapped the planks on and spent a day in Ski Heaven cruising the groomers at Deer Valley. I have to be honest, I actually enjoyed it. I think there might be more skiing for me in the future. On a down note though, I suffered my first season ending injury. In February I suffered a type 3 shoulder separation. For those keeping score at home, that means that I severed both sets of tendons that hold my shoulder to my collar bone. The result was a free toboggan ride down the mountain and many months of painful recovery and rehabilitation.
